How do races or events work in LeCoach?

LeCoach lets you add races to your training plan and uses them to adjust your preparation. For a plan built entirely around one main event, create an event-focused training plan. You can also add races within your current plan.

    Adding a race

Option 1: in the agenda, go to the race date, click the plus icon and select Add race. Option 2: tell LeCoach in chat.

A race has: name, priority, date, sport, distance, elevation, goal time, estimated intensity and load (these two calculate each other), and a description. LeCoach adds it to your calendar, syncs it to Intervals.icu and reviews your plan around it.

    Race priorities

    • A — Main goal, full taper and race prep. LeCoach proposes adjustments to the preceding weeks and a proper taper.

    • B — Important, some rest beforehand. A short taper of a few days; the plan may be tuned leading in.

    • C — Just racing, no specific preparation. Ridden from training; little or no plan change.

When you add or change a race, LeCoach automatically reviews the impact on your plan and proposes changes — which you approve via the usual preview.

    After the race

Your race activity pairs with the race entry and LeCoach prepares a race report. You can also mark a completed activity's sub type as Race if you raced spontaneously.
