AI Running Coach

LeCoach is an AI running coach that builds your running plan around the days and time you actually have, then adjusts it as the weeks go by. It reads your completed runs and recovery data through Intervals.icu, and you can talk to it any time in chat, just like you would with a human coach.

What an AI running coach does for you

Builds a plan around your life.

Tell LeCoach your goal, which days you can run and how much time you have. It plans easy runs, intervals, tempo runs and long runs in a sensible order.

Uses pace targets that fit you.

Every workout step is set as a percentage of your threshold pace, so "easy" and "hard" mean the right thing for your fitness. Heart rate targets can be shown alongside as a second reference.

    Adapts when life happens.

Missed a run, slept badly or feeling run down? LeCoach looks at your completed training and recovery data and adjusts what comes next.

    Answers your questions.

Ask why today is an easy day, swap a session, or make next week lighter, all in chat, any time.

Running only, or running and cycling together

You can follow a running-only plan, or combine running and cycling in one plan. You choose which days are for running and which are for riding, and set the focus for each. LeCoach then balances the load across both, so a hard ride and a hard run do not land on the same tired legs.

Prefer to run indoors? You can follow the same workouts on a treadmill by setting the target paces. Your recorded run syncs and is matched to the planned workout like any other activity.

Pace, heart rate or running power

    • Pace: your pace zones come from your threshold pace. It syncs from Intervals.icu by default, or you can enter it yourself.
    • Heart rate: set your running threshold heart rate, max heart rate and heart rate zones in the same settings.
    • Running power: if you run with a Stryd-style power meter, you can set your target priority to power first. Intervals.icu then sends watt targets to your device, while LeCoach still shows pace. Your running FTP and eFTP trends appear in Analytics.

Tip: if your threshold pace is wrong, every workout will feel too easy or too hard. Check it with the running pace calculator or the VDOT calculator.

How it fits with the apps you already use

LeCoach works through Intervals.icu, the free training platform many runners and cyclists already use. Your runs and recovery data come in from there, and your planned workouts go back out to your device, so you do not have to type anything in by hand.

    Frequently asked questions

What is an AI running coach?

No. LeCoach supports running-only plans, cycling-only plans and plans that combine both.
