    LeCoach is an AI cycling and running coach. It gets to know you as an athlete, builds training plans around your profile, your goals and your available time, watches your training every day, and is there to talk to whenever you want. Before the 6 a.m. session, not at next week's check-in.

    Why I built it

    I'm a Gran Fondo rider in my forties, and for years my FTP didn't move. I tried what every serious self-coached athlete tries. A human coach got to know me, but the answers came once a week and the price added up. TrainerRoad and JOIN were affordable and adapted my plan automatically, but I couldn't ask them anything. Why this workout? Why did my week just change? Their one-size-fits-all sessions never quite fit either.

    I'm a diesel: strong aerobic engine, weak anaerobically. JOIN's VO2max workouts were pitched at a percentage of FTP that assumes an average power profile, and I blew up on them every time. The app didn't care.

    So I built the coach I wanted.

    One that knows my profile from my actual data. Starts VO2max work at an intensity I can complete and progresses it week by week. Answers my questions at any hour, and explains its reasoning instead of silently shuffling my calendar.

    Six months after switching to it, I had added 28 watts and was setting power records again. That's my story, not a promise. But it's why LeCoach exists.

    A coach advises, it doesn't dictate. A coach explains itself. And a coach should make you a better, more informed athlete, not just a follower of workouts.

    Advise, don't dictate

    Each morning LeCoach reads your recovery and tells you whether you're ready for today's session or better served by an alternative. One bad HRV reading doesn't force a rest day. The coach explains what it sees, proposes a change, and leaves the decision with you.
