LeCoach vs IntervalCoach: which cycling coach app fits you?

We make LeCoach, so we're not neutral. Every claim below was checked on the other app's own site in November 2026.

LeCoach and IntervalCoach are both AI coaches that connect to Intervals.icu. They differ in focus and in how a change reaches you. LeCoach focuses on cycling and running, writes your whole plan up to your goal, and asks you first about anything bigger than a small fix. IntervalCoach spreads across nine sports, from cycling to hiking, and on its paid plans it reshapes the day's session by itself each morning.

Quick verdict: Pick LeCoach if you ride or run and want your whole plan written up to your goal, a coach you can talk to without a monthly cap, strength training with its own plan, and a Plan Health Score that tells you how your training is going. Pick IntervalCoach if you want a training plan beyond cycling or running, like hiking or walking, and trust that an AI gets every decision right without consulting you.

Who coaches you, and can you talk to them?

Both apps have an AI coach that sees your training data and can change your plan from the chat. In LeCoach, chat is part of the subscription, with no monthly cap. It shows the change as a preview in your calendar, and nothing is saved until you tap Save changes. In IntervalCoach, chat is called Coach+ and is part of its paid plans, with an allowance of messages per month. There, too, a change from the chat waits for your approval.

Is the training plan built for you?

Both build a plan from your goal and dates, with base, build, peak and taper phases and A, B and C races. LeCoach plans cycling and running, in one plan if you do both, and writes every workout of the plan at the start, up to your goal. IntervalCoach lists nine sports and advertises 5 periodization models and 6 non-race plan templates, and writes 4 or 8 weeks ahead depending on your paid plan.

How does the training plan adapt?

This is the main difference. On Pro and Max, IntervalCoach runs a morning check before your workout email and can reduce the load, cap the intensity or swap the session by itself. LeCoach makes small, safe changes every night, each marked Adjusted with an Undo button, and asks first about everything a real coach would ask about. For example: on a Fair or Low recovery day with a hard session planned, your daily report asks what you want to do and suggests an answer.

Does it listen to your body?

Both read HRV, sleep and resting heart rate and take your own check-ins into account. LeCoach scores your recovery as Good, Fair or Low against your own last 7 and 28 days, and weighs how you say a workout felt above the numbers. It also follows longer trends in how you feel: mood, motivation, tiredness, stress and soreness, against your own usual. When something stands out, the Monday roundup asks about it.
