How activities pair with planned workouts (link, unlink, commutes)

When a new activity syncs in, LeCoach automatically pairs it with your planned workout so you get one merged card and a workout execution score.

    How automatic pairing works

LeCoach looks for a planned workout on the same date with the same sport. When several could match it picks the best fit, using the workout the activity was started from (if your device knows it), name similarity, and otherwise duration and load fit. Very short, light activities (for example a 15-minute spin to the shops) don't steal a pairing from your real workout. If a clearly better-fitting activity arrives later — say you rode the actual workout in the afternoon — LeCoach re-pairs to the better fit.

    Pair or unpair manually

Open the workout or activity and use the link icon:

    • Link to activity / Link to workout — pick what belongs together. Manual pairings are protected: LeCoach won't auto-change them.

    • Unlink — separate them again. The workout returns to 'planned', the activity becomes a standalone ride.

Excluding commutes and other rides that aren't training

Set an activity's Sub Type to Commute (open the activity → Sub Type: None / Commute / Race / Warmup / Cooldown). Commutes are unlinked from workouts automatically and excluded from your ride recaps and analysis.

Pairing multiple activities to one workout

One workout pairs with one activity. If you split a session over two recordings (e.g. ride to the climb, do the workout, ride home), pair the recording that contains the actual workout; the other stays an unplanned activity. You can also mark the workout as done manually with combined numbers instead.
